Policy stuff...
Refund & Return policy for Dahlia tubers and cuttings:
There is a no change of mind policy for purchasers, this is to maintain fairness for all. The seller does maintain the right to cancel an order if there is not enough stock, in which case a refund will be initiated.
All tubers and cuttings leave here in a healthy and whole state, all are packed carefully in an attempt to mitigate risks of being sent via courier. All are ultimately sent at purchaser's risk.
Note regarding tubers: Tubers are dusted in cinnamon or flowers of sulphur. All care is taken to ensure healthy tubers with unbroken
necks and decent crowns with at least one eye are offered for sale.
Tubers can come in all sizes, shapes and firmness. The size, firmness or shape are not valid indicators of a tuber's potential to shoot or not. Refunds will not be offered if the purchaser merely doesn't like the look of a tuber, as really manky looking tubers can grow magnificent plants and flowers. However, please contact the seller so communication regarding dissatisfaction so it can be addressed: tararuadahlias@gmail.com
Note regarding cuttings: All cuttings are
hydroponically started. All have been transitioned from hydroponics to
soil upon decent sized roots being formed. Cuttings will have been hardened off for at least 2 weeks before being offered for sale, by which time a decent root system would have taken place. It takes approximately 2 months for a cutting to form its first tuber.
If a tuber or cutting fails to thrive, becomes diseased or rots while in care of the purchaser then that is no fault of seller and no refund will be offered as there are a magnitude of factors which are out of the sellers control. The seller is consistent with ensuring sterilized practices and healthy gardens + bug control are
maintained with any hint of disease eradicated promptly.
Blindness: If a tuber does not have eyes, meaning it is blind, then a refund or replacement will be offered (but dependent on stock levels in which case the purchaser would be offered a refund or to go on the wait list for the same tuber next year, or be offered a cutting).
Tubers which are blind can be disposed of by the purchaser once a photo is submitted to the seller and refund cleared.
Mislabel: If your dahlia is a mislabel (meaning it turns out different to what you purchased) then a refund or replacement will be offered upon receipt of picture (to not only identify for the purchaser but ensure the seller is notified of which variety to follow up on). All efforts are made during the season and handling to ensure correct labeling but accidents do happen.
There are no returns required or accepted due to the nature of a plant being alive and potentially carrying disease back to seller's gardens and the risk of damage occurring in transport.
Feedback is always appreciated as if there are improvements are to be made, the seller can't make them without knowing about them! Many thanks for reading :)
Shipping Policy
DAHLIAS: Tubers, seeds and cutting are only couriered throughout NZ. Overseas sales are not possible due to needing phytocertification.
Seeds are sent via snail mail/NZ Post unless requested otherwise and can take 5-10 working days.
Tubers and cuttings are sent via courier $12.50 - flat + $5.50 extra for rural, tracking numbers will be emailed to sellers.
Cuttings will only be sent on a Monday to allow sufficient time for any issues to be addressed so plants aren't having to be trapped somewhere over the weekends.
